Unstress

Breathe

A paced breathing exercise you can lean on any time — before a hard conversation, after a long day, or just to come back to yourself.

Slow, paced breathing is one of the quickest ways to tell your body it can settle. A longer out-breath in particular nudges your nervous system toward calm. Pick a rhythm, press start, and let the circle set the pace — a few minutes is plenty.

For about

Paced breathing is a general wellbeing tool, not medical advice. If you feel dizzy or lightheaded, stop and breathe normally — that just means you went a little fast. Holding the breath does not suit everyone (for example during pregnancy or with heart or breathing conditions); if in doubt, choose calm breathing with no holds, or check with a professional.

Where to next?

If you feel at risk of harming yourself or someone else, or if you feel unable to stay safe, contact emergency services or a local crisis line immediately.

In an immediate emergency — if you or someone else is in danger — call your local emergency number now (112 in the EU, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK).
